Austin Public Schools, in partnership with Mower County Public Health, will be offering a COVID-19 vaccination clinic during the school day for APS students who are 5-11 years old to become vaccinated. Please click on the link below to sign up for a vaccine and complete the consent form online by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12. Paper registration forms will be available, please contact your school for the paper form. The Pfizer vaccine has been authorized to vaccinate youth ages 5-11 and the pediatric dose will be the only vaccine administered at this time.

FAQ

Q: Can I sign up once for both doses of the vaccine? 

A: Families will need to sign up twice- for the 1st dose and three weeks later for the 2nd dose. Links/ papers (depending on how you signed up the first time) for the 2nd clinic will be sent to those who signed up for the 1st  clinic.  

 

Q: Will my student receive a vaccine card? 

A: Students will be receiving their vaccine cards. If a student does not have their card from the 1st  dose when they come for the 2nd dose, they will be given a new card to reflect both doses. 

 

Q: Can I be with my child while they get their COVID-19 vaccine at school?  

A: Because of the visitor limitation at Stage 3, parents/ guardians will not be allowed to be present for the vaccination of their child at this clinic. For other COVID-19 vaccination opportunities within the community, please visit vaccines.gov or contact your child’s healthcare provider.

Q: Do I have to sign up for the clinic online? 

A: No. You can sign up using paper forms if you prefer to sign up in that way. Please contact your student’s school and ask for the forms to be sent home with your student
